Melinda Looi and fellow fashion designer Dato' Tom Abang Saufi have teamed up with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) to make over 1,000 Raya clothes for underprivileged children through a crowdfunding initiative.

Both designers came up with Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung designs, while MRCS is responsible for distributing the clothes to four orphanages in the Klang Valley, and three more in Terengganu, Perlis and Melaka.

The campaign aims to encourage people to have the spirit of being flowing in generosity, especially when it comes to one’s basic needs that we often overlook.
